Daniel “Dan” H. Sorenson

Born August 1, 1962 and left us too soon on May 28, 2025.

Dan was a beloved Husband, Father, Brother and Friend. Survived by his wife Amy (Connole) of 37 years; Son Chase and wife Devyn (Musil); and Brothers and Sisters: Darrell Jr., Deborah Sorenson (Steve Shonkwiler), Theresa Sorenson and Mark (Delora). Preceded in death by his parents Darrell Sorenson Sr. and Mary Ann (Park) Sorenson.

Dan never met a person who wasn’t a friend. He loved his family with everything he had. Even though he was a homebody, he loved time spent on tropical beaches with family and friends. In his youth he was an avid billiard's player and loved online gaming.

Dan’s chance meeting with a girl on Dodge Street while cruising led to a love that never ended.

There will be a family only service 11:00 Friday, June 6, 2025 at Roeder Mortuary - Gretna Chapel 11710 Standing Stone Dr. Gretna, NE 68028. Burial -family only - will be noon Friday, June 6, 2025 at Holy Sepulchre Gretna.

We will also be honoring Dan in a Celebration of Life gathering open to all who knew and loved Dan and his family, Friday June 6th at Heavy Brewing located at 20333 Patton St, Gretna, NE 68028 from 1:00 -  4:00 PM. Beach casual encouraged.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.
