Daniel James Norman

Daniel James Norman, 70, of Omaha, NE, died at home in Omaha on 1/4/2024 surrounded by his family.

He was born in Omaha in 1953 to William & Johanna Norman and was raised there with his 6 siblings.  Dan joined the army after high school and served 4 years, part of which was in Korea.  He and 3 others started the band The Normandy Invasion in 1975 and he was the lead singer for nearly 50 years.  He loved his wife, his family, music (The Beatles & vinyl records) and Omaha.  He was an amazing friend, brother, husband, father, son, uncle & most recently grandfather.

Dan was preceded in death by William J. Norman (dad) & Johanna Norman (mom).

He is survived by Susan Norman (wife), daughters Alison (Nathan) Maceyko & Jessica (John) Wilmes, grandkids Molly Maceyko & Greyson Wilmes, siblings Donna (Kevin) Bessey, Walter Norman, Joan (Marty) Becker, Richard (Deb) Norman, Nancy (Jeff) Stevens, David (Judy) Norman, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins & friends.

Visitation to be held 4-6 PM Sunday (01-07-24) at Roeder Mortuary 108^th Chapel with Celebration of Life at 6 PM. Private family graveside services to be held. Memorials to be designated to the family.
