Daniel G. Cook

Dan Cook, age 58, of Omaha, passed away on January 5, 2024.  Dan grew up in Omaha and graduated from Burke High School in 1983.  He served three years in the U.S. Army from 1983-1986.  Dan married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Jacob, on August 19, 1988.  They were blessed with two daughters, Desirae and Demi.  Dan worked in home improvement sales for Red Cedar, Micklin Lumber, Home Pride, and many years with Omaha Door and Window.  He had a great gift of gab and sense of humor.  He enjoyed life and was often the “life of the party.”  He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Cook; his step-father, Gary Komrofske; his father-in-law, Leonard Jacob; and beloved dog, Bo.  Dan is survived by his life-long partner, Barbara Cook; his daughters, Desirae Cook (Brandon Morland) and Demi Cook (Alex Otero); his mother, Sally Komrofske; his sisters, Laura Cook and Kristine (Curtis) Self; his mother-in-law, Ramona Jacob; and many friends and family members.

VISITATION will be held on Thursday, January 11, from 10:00 – 11:00 at Roeder Mortuary, 2727 North 108^th Street. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will follow at 11:00 AM at Roeder Mortuary. A luncheon will be held at Maplewood United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall, 3535 Maplewood Boulevard.  Memorials may be directed to the family.
