Dale H. Haecker

Dale Haecker, 80, of Gretna, passed away on April 15, 2025. He was born on December 19, 1944 in Beatrice, Nebraska, to Harvey and Bertha (Remmers) Haecker. Dale was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of Pickrell. He graduated from Adams High School in 1963 and went on to Milford Trade School to complete the building construction program. Dale married Kathy Knapp on May 14, 1977 in Papillion, Nebraska. He spent 41 years operating Dale’s Cabinet Shop in Pickrell where he dedicated his career to cabinetry craftsmanship before retiring and moving to Gretna to be near his grandkids. Dale served 6 years in the Army National Guard and proudly maintained American Legion membership for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Kathy; son, Dr. Nathan (Dana) Haecker; three grandchildren: Caleb, Josh, and Sydney Haecker; brother, Walter (Virginia) Haecker; sister-in-law, Monica Haecker; sister-in-law, Carol (Greg) Eymann; brother-in-law, Ted (Jacque) Knapp; many cherished nieces, nephews, and special neighbors. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Bertha Haecker; and brother, Wes Haecker.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran in Gretna with luncheon to follow. Private burial at Cedardale Cemetery in Papillion at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Ronald McDonald House Charities of Omaha in Dale’s memory.
