Corlyn Klug, age 86, of Omaha, NE died on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.  She was born September 22, 1937 in Pierce, NE to Evan and Malinda Thompson.  On December 23, 1953 she was united in marriage to Melvin Klug at the Methodist Church in Pierce, NE.

Corlyn is survived by her husband Melvin, children Donald (Karen) Klug, Douglas (Merrilou) Klug, Laura (Bob) Gruber and Daniel (Tammy) Klug.

Grandchildren include Cheryl, Denise, Julie, David, Dennis, Aaron, Justin, Melvin, Malinda, John, Jackie, Allyson, Mandy, Quentin, Xavier, Brielle, and Danika.

She had 23 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by a sister, LaNeta Abler.

Preceding her in death were her parents, daughter, Janet Moorman, brother Don, and sisters Maxine and Eleanor.

Corlyn loved being with her family and talked about them until the end.        

Corlyn worked at the church’s preschool and enjoyed her time with the small students.  She loved her church and coffee with her friends.

Her days were filled doing crossword and Sudoku puzzles and watching hummingbirds and the birds in the bird bath.  She also enjoyed watching Royals baseball, Chiefs football, Nebraska football and volleyball, and ME TV.

Corlyn will be missed by her family and friends.

Visitation Wednesday, (10/4/2023) from 5 – 7 PM at mortuary. Funeral Service 10:30 AM Thursday (10/5/2023) at Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church 150th & Q St. Omaha. Private interment Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials to Little lamb
