Age 62 - Cora Jean Beacham was born in Omaha, on February 5, 1962. She was the first daughter of Howard and Joyce Beacham's 7 children. 

As a child, Cora was energetic and loved being the center of attention. She often played tricks and playfully harassed her older brothers and their friends. 

Cora was especially fond of her oldest brother, Howard Jr. She frequently reminisced about their bond in music and their carefree spirits. 

Cora was educated in the Omaha Public School System, (OPS). During her years in OPS, Cora’s creativity shined. She received multiple awards and recognitions for her uniqueness in fashion design, angelic voice and appetizing cooking. 

In 1979 Cora concluded her education in OPS by graduating from Technical High School. 

After high school, Cora enlisted in the Army. Cora's Army commitment allowed her to experience life in multiple cities, and ultimately being stationed in Savanah, Georgia.

Cora loved animals. She always had a cat and/ or a dog as a pet. At the time of her transition, Cora had a cat, "Nahla" and a squirrel "Stanly" that lived in a tree outside of her mother's house. Cora cared deeply for pets. The love she showed them was reflected in the excitement they displayed when they were in her presence.

ng a "Good Time". One of her favorite things to do was hosting a Super Bowl party. Cora was able to do two of her favorite things, having fun and cooking. She would be in the kitchen for hours, with the music playing loud and her angelic voice singing along. Her Super Bowl parties were always "The Talk Of The Town". Guest knew they would have a good time and eat some good food.

In 2019, Cora met the man she would spend the rest of her life with, Bruce Brown. The couple married on February 3, 2021. Bruce was heaven sent to Cora. The couple’s family and friends witnessed the beauty of their love. Although their time together has gone too soon, Bruce’s love and dedication honored Cora as a woman; loved Cora as a wife; and cared for Cora like a baby.

Over the years, Cora lived between Omaha, Nebraska and Savanah, Georgia. In 2015, She returned to Omaha Nebraska to live out the last years of her life.

On Tuesday, May 28, 2024 the Lord sent Cora her wings, so she could fly to Him.

Cora leaves to cherish her memories Husband, Bruce Brown; Children, Tamona, Talyon, and Tia; Grandchildren, Zi, Savanah, Ayanna and Mya, Zyheir, Orion, Isaiah, Christina Malani, Aria, Ava; Great-grandchildren, Makhari and Scholar; Mother, Joyce Beacham; Brother, James (Merna) Beacham, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends 

Cora was preceded in death by Father, Howard Beacham Sr; Siblings, Howard Beacham Jr, Dennis Beacham (Lisa) Sacramento, Tanya Beacham-Wheely (Joseph), Jerome Lee Beacham (Lisa), and Special friend, Her cat Nahla.

Cora is survived by a host of loving family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday (6/21/2024) at VFW Post 2503, 8904 Military Ave, Omaha NE 68134. Complete Notice is pending.
