Cody Lee Latham, born on February 3, 1982, in San Diego, California, left this world far too soon on December 9, 2024, Omaha, NE. He was a devoted father to his beloved sons Dylan and Luke Latham and cherished by his family especially —his mother Rita Latham and father and stepmom Walter & Paula Latham and his best friend and sister Crystal (Jose) Celis.
Cody is further survived by: Daughter Eve Latham and Son Daniel Latham, California; sister Danielle (Sean) Brink of Hickman, NE and brother Wayland (Melissa) Latham of Blair, NE and plenty of nieces (his favorite Jazzy) and nephews.
From an early age, Cody's charisma lit up every room he entered. His infectious laugh could turn the dullest moments into memories filled with joy. Those who knew him were drawn to his magnetic personality; it was impossible not to want to be around him. With a beautiful smile that radiated warmth and kindness, Cody had a unique ability to make everyone feel special.
A proud Marine who served with honor and dedication, Cody embodied the values of courage and commitment both in service and in life. His intelligence shone through in everything he did—from witty banter that kept friends laughing for hours to thoughtful conversations that inspired those around him. Mischievous at heart yet deeply loving as a parent, he approached fatherhood with the same passion he brought to all aspects of life.
Cody’s legacy is one of love—a love for his children that knew no bounds—and laughter that will echo long after he's gone. He leaves behind not just memories but also lessons about living fully: embracing each moment with joy while cherishing connections with others.
As we remember Cody today—his spirit forever etched in our hearts—we celebrate the vibrant life he lived: full of adventure, laughter shared among friends old and new alike. Though taken from us too soon at the young age of 42; may we carry forward his light by sharing stories filled with humor & compassion just like he would have wanted us all do!
