Christine L. McQuinn

Omaha - Preceded in death by parents Dolores & John Horan, Mary Therese Horan Dalton LaRose; husband Steven McQuinn Sr; brother Brian Dalton; step-daughter Amiee McQuinn. Survived by brothers Keith Dalton (Joanna), Greg Dalton (Anne), Bruce Dalton, Jack Horan (Debbie); sister Kathy Berry; step-children Meghan, Nick and Steven McQuinn Jr.; nephews Duke (Sandy) and Donny Horan, Patrick and Travis Berry, Patrick McQuinn Sr (Tammy); step-grandson John McQuinn; nieces Stacey Clark and Pamela Crawley; great nephews Casey Horan, Noah, Nicholas, Nathan, and Nelson Clark; great nieces Emily Horan, Ashley Foster and Annabelle Horan; beloved family and friends including life-long friends Marcia Booth and Cindy Vossler.  
 
Chris was an avid horse person and animal lover.  She dedicated many years of service to the Nebraska Humane Society as an animal control officer where she met her late husband Steven McQuinn Sr.  After NHS she continued her passion working with animals while working for various local veterinarians.  She then transitioned into healthcare working for various physicians.  She ended her work career caring for residents at Maple Crest Health Center.  Her entire work life was caring for all God's creatures. 
 
Chris had a witty and sarcastic sense of humor that will be sorely missed.  She had a huge giving heart and was someone you could always count on whenever you needed her. Some people love things, others love experiences and relationships - Chris was the latter. She had a heart for bringing people together.  She loved planning family reunions which created memories that the family cherishes, building bonds across the generations. Chris developed friendships wherever she went, her friendships endured for decades and still do to this day.  Even in the hospital there was a non stop stream of visitors, many people building new connections through Chris.

Visitation on Friday, December 8, 2023, 3-4 PM with 4-5 PM Memorial Service on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Roeder Mortuary.
