Charles Mitchell

Charles Mitchell was born February 25th 1945 to the late Rev. Isaiah and Lucy Mae Mitchell in Holly Springs Mississippi. He departed this life February 7th, 2024 at Omaha Rehabilitation.

Charles was preceded in death by his wives Kathleen Mitchell, and Annie Fisher Mitchell, his parents, and five siblings; Sarah, Russell, Mattie, George, and Delores. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters; Sharon Ann Walker, Denita Johnson (Douglas), two grandchildren; Deyah & Dan Johnson, one great grandson; Kyrin Haynes of Omaha, two sisters; Maggie Bernard Brown, Marie Mitchell, three brothers; Willie Mitchell of Aurora, M. Johnnie Mitchell, Jerry Mitchell of Omaha, Nebraska, two aunts; Frances Lucas of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Patricia Street of Omaha, Nebraska, a host of nieces, great nieces & nephews, & friends, including special friend Eugene Rahn.

Charles Accepted Christ at an early age at Little Powell Baptist Church in Holly Springs, Mississippi. After moving to Omaha, he united with Morning Star Baptist Church where he was faithful until his health deteriorated.

He was a member of Rescue Lodge #4 and he was employed as a semi-truck driver.

The life and memories of Charles will continue to live on through the hearts of all who knew and loved him.         

Visitation Friday 9:00 - 10:00 AM at church. Funeral Service 10:00 AM   Friday (2/16/24)  at Morning Star Baptist Church 2019 Burdette St. Omaha, NE. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
