Rodgers of Omaha, John Jacobs of Southbridge, MA, Kurt Jacobs of Omaha;
Granddaughters: Sarah and Hannah Rodgers.
The US Army trained Jake to drive a truck. He brought his truck driving skills back to
his hometown, Chicago, IL. He drove a truck
overnight while attending Roosevelt University full time. After earning his Bachelor in Science degree
in Business, Jake spent more than 25 years in the trucking industry. Around 1986 Jake went to work for the Omaha
Home for Boys. At that same time he
became involved with the Masonic Order and Shriners. He spent many summers in area parades as
Skooter the Clown as well as dedicating his time to the Shrine Circus and
Mobile Nobles. Jake was also a member of
The American Legion, Post 1, the VFW, Post 2503, and the Elks Lodge 39.
