Charlene Cecilia Shambare was born on July 27th, 1995 in Zimbabwe, Africa to her parents Narcissus and Ketty (Khuluma) Shambare. She has lived in Omaha for 22 years.
Charlene worked hard, getting her CNA while she was in high school, and worked in nursing for several years. After nursing she spent some years working in HR, but missed the world of nursing and had just started a new job at the Methodist Hospital. She went to college and got her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, then moved to working on her masters. She was one course away from obtaining it, and graduated with that pending class.
Charlene was a passionate woman who found joy in many things. She loved Photography, travelling the world, singing, makeup and all things esthetic. She loved Christmas so much she would put up her Christmas tree in July, placing presents under the tree for the people she loved for months before the holiday would come.
Charlene was kind, generous, loving, big hearted, and always put others before herself.
Charlene will be missed by her siblings, Roshna, Monica, and Herbert, her parents, Narcissus and Ketty Shambare, her grandmother Linda Nkomo, many loving friends, and many other beloved family in Zimbabwe, Africa.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, and an uncle.
A visitation will be held Tuesday morning, October 8th from 11:00 A.M. - 11:45 A.M. at the College of St. Mary in their chapel, with a mass to follow at 12:00 P.M. Charlene will be buried at Evergreen Memorial Park after the mass, meeting at the cemetery at 1:30 P.M. There will be no procession.
