Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha, NE Charlene Joan Menard born, April 2, 1935, in Omaha Ne. to Percy and Elsie Menard.  She was the oldest of three, Betty and Lloyd Menard.  Raised mainly in Omaha but lived in Dallas Texas for few years.  She was married to Lyle Smith in 1955 and had two children Vicky Ann and Kenneth Raymond.  She then married Marion Charron on August 25, 1961.  She had two more children Luke Ross and Cynthia Ann. Charlene loved to fish, camp and golf.  Her specialty was in her art with ceramics, jewelry and decorating the house.  Throughout her years she collected many beautiful items, but her love was angels.  She loved spending time with her family especially the 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Charlene and Marion traveled a lot throughout North America and visited Hawaii in her eighties.  Every vacation she would collect rocks from all over.  She loved music and Elvis Presley was her favorite.  On Saturday mornings she would dance with her children to American Bandstand.   Charlene loved football, Nebraska and Kansas City Chiefs were her teams.   She was loved by all and will be truly missed. Charlene was preceded in death by her son: Kenny. She is survived by her husband of 61 years: Marion; children: Vicky Johnston, Luke Charron, Cindy Jacobsen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Lloyd Menard, Betty Barnes.
