Cecil, Barbara J. “Jo” (Lewis) Bohrer

September 12, 1928 - November 13, 2015

Passed away peacefully at an Alzheimer’s care center in Omaha, Nebraska.  In death, she joins the love of her life, Phillip H. Cecil who predeceased her in 2006.  Jo was  born in Shubert, NE in 1928 to Vern M. and Ruby Lewis. Preceded in death by son, Steven Bohrer, parents, sister, Margaret Bauer, brother Vern Ray Lewis.  She is survived by sister, Nell Lewis of Chicago, IL; children, Mike Lewis of rural Texas; daughter, Leslie Harsh of Omaha, NE; great aunt, Martha Fish also of Omaha, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Jo began her working career at KMTV in 1952, served as the manager of the Falls City Chamber of Commerce from 1970 to 1977, the president of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce from 1983 to 1999, and as an account representative to the Midlands Business Journal til her retirement in her 80s. MEMORIAL SERVICE  11am Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Roeder Mortuary - 108th Street Chapel  Private inurnment at a later date Prairie Union Cemetery, Shubert, NE.  Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or VNA.
