Carolyn Jean Fowler, fondly known as “Moose Dog, ” was born on September 27, 1963, as the eighth of eleven children to Henrietta, (James) Fowler, and Levorn Fowler Sr. in Osceola, Arkansas. She grew up in a vibrant family where she cultivated her passions for sports and community. Carolyn attended West Junior school, where she proudly participated in cheerleading and played various sports, including softball, volleyball, and track and field throughout her high school years.
At the age of 22, Carolyn moved to Omaha, Nebraska, with her sister, Yvonna, and her two children, Tommy Andre Fowler (Guns) and Christie Nicole Fowler. Carolyn was a beautiful spirit, characterized by her outgoing personality and uplifting nature. She embraced life with joy, inspiring everyone around her.
Carolyn was the proud mother of two, grandmother of seven, and great[1]grandmother of twelve. She brought immense love and warmth to her family, and her legacy will continue to be cherished by them. Carolyn passed away on March 7, 2025, and she is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Andre Fowler (Guns); her brothers, Leorn Fowler and Levorn Fowler Jr.; her sister, Deborah Fowler- (Johnson); as well as her great-nephews, Rodney Bobby Orr-Austin, and Da’Heem Conley.
Carolyn's memory lives on through her daughter, Christie Nicole Fowler of Omaha, Nebraska, and her siblings: Bessie Mae Fowler of Little Rock, Arkansas; Louis Fowler of Omaha, Nebraska; Ricky James Fowler of Omaha, Nebraska; Tyrone Fowler of Baltimore; and Christine Fowler of Omaha,Yvonna Fowler of Omaha, Nebraska. She is also survived by her Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family members who will carry on her spirit and love. As we reflect on Carolyn's life, we find comfort in the words of Ecclesiastes 3:1-
Visitation: Thursday 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave.
Funeral Service: 12:00 PM Friday (3/21/2025) at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, 2108 Bishop Richardson St.
Interment: Mount Hope Cemetery.
