2727 N. 108th St. Omaha, NE 68164 496-9000 Carolyn was born and raised in Murdock, NE. She was preceded in death by parents: Charles & Frances Schafer; and her beloved husband of 54 years: Albert G. Bates. She is survived by brother: Charles Merle Schafer of Murdock, NE; son: Rob Bates ; granddaughters: Lauren E. Bates, Melissa Bates Hammer ; great-granddaughters: Lyla Shea Hammer, Josie Rose Hammer, all of Omaha. Carolyn was a member of Dundee Presbyterian Church in Omaha for over 70 years. She moved to Omaha in 1948 and took a job as a secretary. Upon the birth of her son Rob, she became a stay-at-home mother. She was a woman of strong faith, who loved and took great pride in her family. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carolyn's remarkable life. Memorials to Dundee Presbyterian Church or St. Croix Hospice.
