Caressa Amber Jones, a beloved daughter and sister passed away April 29, 2024, in Omaha, NE at the age of 23. Caressa, affectionately known as Lulu, was born to Candie and Anthony Jones on August 25, 2000 in Omaha. She was a sweet, kind, and caring soul who had a radiant smile, contagious laugh and was loved by everyone that knew her. She had a special bond with her big sister Cassie and with her pets Sampson, Deliah, and her dog nephew Duke as she cared for and loved them dearly.
Caressa attended St Pius X /St Leo Catholic school and graduated from Omaha Marian High school in 2019. She was active in sports growing up and painted beautiful pictures that cover their family’s home today. Caressa received the UNL Husker Power Scholar Emerging Leaders award and attended UNL her freshman year of college to major in nursing. She was currently enrolled in the undergraduate nursing program at Clarkson College, working towards her BSN degree and also a CNA. As a student, Caressa exemplified the Clarkson College values of Learning, Caring, Commitment, Integrity, and Excellence. Most recently, she was selected as a Clarkson mentor for the Nebraska Hospital Association’s Healthcare Heroes program educating elementary-aged students about healthcare careers. Caressa was looking forward to becoming an ICU travel nurse living in Hawaii caring for her french bulldog.
Caressa is survived by her loving parents, Candie and Anthony; older sister Cassie Jones and boyfriend Patrick Freeman; grandmother Karen Chramosta; aunt and uncle Carla (James) Nesci; cousin Hunter Hawley; grandmother Carol Jones; grandfather Joe Jones; aunt Karen Jones as well as an extended circle of family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her grandfather Edward J Chramosta Jr. and the family dog Sampson.
Services of Caressa’s life - Visitation to be held at Roeder Mortuary 108th Chapel (2727 N 108th Street) from 5-7 PM Monday, May 6th with rosary service at 7 PM. Funeral Mass to be held Tuesday, May 7th at St. Leo's Catholic Church (1920 N 102nd St, Omaha NE 68114) at 10 AM. Luncheon for family and friends to follow at St. Leo's at the conclusion of services.
The family kindly requests memorials to the family for later designation.
Caressa will forever be remembered for her love and kindness and the positive impact she had on everyone she met. Though Caressa may no longer be among us, her spirit will forever live in our hearts and in the memories we hold dear.
