Bruce A. Barton

Omaha - Bruce A. Barton, 63, passed away on June 12, 2026 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on December 26, 1962 to Glenn and Clevia (Fate).

Bruce worked as a delivery driver for Airborne Express and then Frito-Lay for many years before going on Disability due to his health in 2001. Bruce enjoyed a variety of hobbies in his life, most notably playing card games, working on cars, and baking cookies. Bruce was also a lover of animals and cared for several pets in his life, but he always had a particular soft spot for cats.

Bruce is survived by his partner Linda Vandenbroucke; daughters Krista (Smithhisler), Nicole, Marissa (Peterson), and Courtney; sisters Cynthia (Waller) and Tammy (Fox); grandchildren Pruitt, Gibson, Landon, Braxton, and Sienna; and several nieces and nephews. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Clevia.

Visitation will be held from 9am-10am at Roeder Mortuary in Omaha (2727 N. 108th Street) followed by a memorial service at 10am at the same location. The family invites guests to join them for lunch at Parsons House (14325 Eagle Run Drive) immediately following the memorial service.
