Brenda Baker, 72, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 5, 2026, with her family beside her. She was born April 8, 1954, in Omaha, NE. to Ben and Bea Andrews. She graduated from Omaha North High School in 1972. She met the love of her life, Keith, in the second-floor study hall at North High. They were married for 53 years and share three kids together; Amanda, Alison, and Wesley. She lived her entire life in Omaha and her career was dedicated to children. She worked at Ponca school for many years and later became a preschool teacher/director. “Mrs. Baker” touched many young lives. Brenda was strong in her faith and was devoted to her church. She was a member of Miracle Hills Church, where she volunteered for VBS, directed Christmas plays, served on the church Board, and was always willing to help with any activity. She was currently a member of Sunset Hills Baptist Church. Brenda was also an avid golfer. She played throughout her life with her Mom, husband, kids, and friends. She had three hole in ones! Throughout their time together, Brenda and Keith enjoyed camping and travelling together. They camped with lifelong friends and family for many years. The past few years they spent winters in Mission, Texas camping, where they met new friends. Brenda was an author and published a book in 2015. Her interests included flowers and decorating. She loved spending time with her family and friends playing cards or other games and she loved her pets.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents: Ben and Bea Andrews. She is survived by her husband of 53 years: Keith Baker; her sister: Beverly Herman (Don); her sisters-in-law: Bonnie White and Anne Baker; her children: Amanda Wright (Mike), Alison Wakefield (Jason), and Wes Baker (Patty); grandchildren: Kylie Blake, Matthew Blake, Renae Fichna (Nathan), Gage Fichna, Sydney Wakefield, Logan Wakefield, Zayne Shepard, Nathan Wright, Zachary Wright (Genevieve), and Heather Wright; 2 great-grandchildren; and countless other friends and family.

Visitation will be Monday, August 10, 2026 from 5-7pm at Roeder Mortuary (2727 N. 108th Street, Omaha); Funeral services will be held 10am, Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Roeder Mortuary (2727 N. 108th Street, Omaha), with Pastor Steve Wamberg officiating.

Lunch to follow funeral at VFW Post #3421 (3434 McKinley Street, Omaha).
