Bradley Dean Mellott

Bradley Dean Mellott passed away on October, 20th, 2023 at the age of 68.

Brad was a loving family man and the consummate salesman.  Early in his career, he spent time in sales leadership roles for First Data Corporation, NICE and Sitel, before he broke off to start his own telemarketing company, Intellisell.  Intellisell, based in Omaha, was awarded as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in the U.S. by Inc. Magazine, before the industry-leading company was sold.  After the sale, Brad enjoyed the fast-paced life of an entrepreneur, founding many Omaha-based businesses, including Going Vertical, Breaking Ground Landscaping, The Perfect Game and Global NetWatch.  In addition to his array of business achievements, he was passionate about competitive youth sports. He created a network of 10 Going Vertical athletic training franchises throughout the U.S. that trained thousands of athletes, and locally established the Predator Youth Sports Organization and the Predator Basketball League.  The foundation he set for growing sports in the area continues to reverberate throughout the community.

Brad and his wife Nancy loved to travel, especially to San Francisco, CA, Breckenridge, CO and Phoenix, AZ.  Brad enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his four grandkids.  He was a golfer, an avid Husker fan, and was known to dazzle on karaoke night.

Brad was preceded in death by parents, Richard Mellott and JoAnne White; and brother, Brian Mellott.  Brad is survived by wife Nancy Mellott, children Collin and Mandy (Kuehner) Mellott, Paige (Mellott) and Nick Winey; grandchildren Brady, Maya, Cade and Cooper; siblings Mike and Marsha Mellott, and Cheri and Brent Wilson; mother-in-law Mary Shonerd, sister-in-law Karee Shonerd, sister-in-law Denise Mellott, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Dream City Church, 8433 W Center Rd, Omaha, NE on Friday, October 27th at 1:30pm.
