Ms. Bobbie L. Sharp was born February 2, 1940 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Mae Ethel Mosley and Sam Gatewood. Mom was the only child until she was adopted by Lena Sharp.
Bobbie graduated from Booker T. Washington High in 1959, soon after graduating she moved to Omaha.
Bobbie gave her life to Christ in 1979. She was a member of Morning Star for 40 plus years. She sang in the choir, was in the mission, seasonal seniors, and traveled with the New Era Laymen during those long camping trips.
Bobbie worked as a psychiatric aid in 1970 for several years. She also worked at St Joseph Hospital and Douglas County Hospital.
She worked as a Home Health Aid until her health started to failing after retiring. Bobbie did volunteer work at the Omaha Boys Club/Hope Center. She also volunteered with KETV news watch 7 for the back school distribution and Holy Name Church. She Appear in the newspaper for different things about her grandchild and also was seen on tv of standing up about what’s right.
Ms. Sharp as everyone knew her, they had kind words when speaking about hers. They knew her by the lady that walked everywhere and the lady with long fingernails.
Bobbie had 4 child who she always called the 4 Sharps. She didn’t always call you by your name you were a number. Pamela #1, Jerilyn #2, Carla #3, Warren #4 and you had better answer.
Bobbie enjoyed those chocolate chip cookies, M&M’s, Black Walnut Ice Cream, Blueberry pie and to top it off and ice-cold Pepsi.
She processed in death by her daughter Carla, parents, good friends, Sister Ethel Tramble, Doris Benton and a host of other family and friends.
She is survived by 2 daughters Pamela and Jerilyn and son Warren, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, along with a host of cousin and friends.
Visitation: 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 5, 2021,
Morning Star Baptist Church, 2019 Burdette St., Omaha, Nebraska.
Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 also at the church.
Inurnment: Evergreen Memorial Park.
