We lost our wonderful son and brother, Blaine Siebels, in Omaha, Nebraska on September 16th, 2025. An unexpected passing at the age of 39. Blaine was our first child, and was a smart, loving, tender-hearted soul. Born in Omaha on October 8th, 1985, Blaine graduated from Burke High School in 2004 and then attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
Blaine loved sports and was a stand-out in hockey from 4th grade through high school. He started playing when he was 10 years old and played a year at UNL on the University’s Club Team. He loved sports- of course, the Huskers, but also the Boston Red Sox, The Patriots, The L.A Kings, The Celtics, Bud Crawford and just about any competitive sport.
Blaine had a magnetic personality, loved everyone and leaves innumerable close friends, fans, and family. Blaine is survived by his heartbroken parents David and Lisa Siebels, brother Jaxen Siebels; his Grandparents, Janelle and King Hawes and Phil and Kim Petersen; Aunts and Uncles, Jeff and Jackie Siebels, Craig Petersen, Brittany Petersen; Cousins, Dan Siebels and Michele Olson; and his kitty Kylo. Blaine was preceded in death by his Great Grandparents Bernard and Thelma Miller and Hakon and Mary Petersen; Grandparents Elwyn Siebels and JoAnn Miller; Uncle Bradley Petersen, and Great Aunt Sara.
The family will be holding an open Celebration of Life gathering from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 23rd at Roeder Mortuary Chapel, 2727 North 108th St, Omaha, Nebraska 68164. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, at Blaine’s request, to Hope for Paws, 3940 Laurel Canyon Blvd. #140, Studio City, CA 91604.
Blaine will be so missed by all of us.
