Billy Joe Alcorn was born on March 2, 1951 in Judd Hill, Arkansas to the late James and Josephine Alcorn.

Billy was the seventh of 10 children. He attended Judd Hill public school. Billy accepted Christ at an early age and after moving to Omaha he attended the freedom worship center, under the leadership of Pastor Jeff Booth.

Billy found employment with O’Neill packing company. He retired from O’Neill after 30 years of service due to his health.

Bill and Betty grew up together in Arkansas, they always had an eye for each other. He was so sad when Betty and family moved to Omaha. Guess what? Billy moved to Omaha and the romance bloomed into marriage on January 3, 1977. They parented five children: Anthony and Bryant Alcorn , Rodney Johnson, Billy Wayne, Alcorn, and Pamela Morgan.

Billy was a quiet and generous man. He loved Betty and his family and he always stood ready to help when there was a need. His passion was barbecuing and fishing. Billy was the grill master for a fundraisers for bus trips for family reunions, picnics in the park, you name it. Billy was in charge of the grill.

He never had to tell the story about the big ones that got away, because the big ones ended in a fish fry for the family.

He cherished the time he had with his nieces and nephews at freedom worship center. He knew that they would all be there, it was their family gathering. The calls from Donald were so special to him and he always looked forward to them.

Billy was proceeded in death by his parents, James and Josephine, daughter, Pamela Morgan, brothers James, Freddie, and Jerry, sisters, Dorothy Laird, Luna Mae Bass, And Tillie Holliman.

He leaves to rejoice and cherish his memories, his wife, Betty, four sons Anthony, Bryant, Rodney, Omaha and Billy Wayne, Florida, two sisters Josephine (Arthur) Laird, Tennessee, And Dr. Earnie Alcorn-Defeliz, Tennessee. Grandchildren- Malik, Tariq, Amari, Jayden, Jayla, and Sanaya, Great grandchildren, Queen, Mack and Gloria Johnson, Christine Blair, Long time, friend, Deacon, W.D Davis, A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
