Betty J. Challgren

Omaha - Betty Jean Challgren, age 90, of Omaha Nebraska passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 surrounded by her family.  She was born on November 19, 1932.  Betty married Paul Challgren and celebrated their 67th anniversary in July. In 1976 they moved from Buffalo to Omaha.

Mom loved many different arts and crafts.  She was a self-taught quilter, sewer, painter and cake decorator.  The thing she enjoyed most was spending time with her grandchildren and celebrating holidays.  She was very witty and had a wonderful sense of humor.  She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of the Master for almost 50 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Fredrick and Elsie Large, sister Ethel and brother Fred.  She is survived by her husband, Paul, children Ken (Kristi), Donna (Don); Linda (Chris); 9 grandchildren Brittney, Zach (Lucky), Nicole, Luke (Libby), Cody, Corinne, Ethan, Ben and Derek.
