Barbara Joan (Booton) Chrisman of Omaha was born on April 2, 1939 in Iowa City, IA and grew up in Blair, Ne. She married William A Chrisman III at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in 1960. Barb attended Kountze faithfully until her passing. In addition to being very active in church, Barb volunteered at Children’s hospital for many years before working there in Outpatient Surgery. After retirement, she focused on her growing family, and church activities focusing heavily on the church pantry and baking cookies for everyone. She is remembered by all as a faithful, giving and selfless person.
She is preceded in death by husband, William A Chrisman III, parents, Lois Soll, Darwin Soll and Charles Booton, brother, Bill Booton, sister in law, Helen Booton, sisters, Joyce Hutchison and Janyce Ireland, nephews, Steve Booton and Tim Booton and daughter in law Laura Chrisman.
She is survived by her children Bradford Chrisman (Kass) and Amanda Bruckner. Her grandchildren, Emma Bruckner, Liam Bruckner, Brittany Moore (Tyler), Hannah Post (Erick), Abby Post (Noel), and Karlie Post (Isaiah). Her great grandchildren, Hadley Moore, Brecken Post and Becklee Post. Numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She also leaves countless friends who were also family to her.
Visitation will be at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church on Monday, February 17th from 5-7pm.
Funeral services will be held at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church on February 18th at 10:30 am followed by a luncheon at the church and committal service at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The service will be live streamed at https://kmlchurch.org/
Memorials can be made to Kountze Memorial Pantry, Kountze Memorial Medical Clinic or Lutheran Family Services.
