Audrey K. Selden

Audrey Kay Selden, age 68, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her brother: Larry (Sharon) Selden; nephews: Scott (Teresa) Selden and Shane (Alice) Selden; niece: Sandy Selden; as well as many extended family members and friends, especially within the drag racing community.

Audrey’s early years were filled with a love for horses, but it was drag racing that truly captured her heart and became her true passion. Throughout her adult life, Audrey was a fixture at drag strips, whether helping behind the scenes or proudly cheering for her great nephews as they raced. Her passion for the sport and her unwavering dedication to the racing community will always be remembered by those that knew her.

Audrey’s legacy will live on through the memories of the many lives she touched through her love of racing. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Audrey requested that her service be a celebration of her life, filled with memories created throughout the years whether drag racing, her time at the pool, or spending time with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Humane Society, in honor of Audrey’s lifelong love for animals.

Audrey's Celebration of Life will be Friday, December 20, 2024, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Roeder Mortuary, 108th Street Chapel.
