Arleen E. Chavanu

Omaha - Arleen Chavanu, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska. Born on August 19, 1943, in Omaha to Dora and Art Dohse, Arleen spent her life deeply rooted in the community she called home.

Arleen was a devoted wife to her late husband, Marvin Chavanu, and together they built a life centered on love and family. She was a proud and loving mother to her daughter, Lynnette Chavanu, who carries forward her legacy of warmth and kindness. Arleen also shared a close bond with her sister Joan Kent and cherished the relationships she had with her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Dora and Art Dohse, as well as her brother LeRoy Dohse.

Family was at the heart of Arleen’s life. She found immense joy in sharing family photos and reminiscing about treasured memories. Her love for spending time with family created countless moments of connection that will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Arleen’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May her legacy of love and devotion bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
