Ann Marie Saner

A Celebration of Life at Roeder Funeral Home, 2727 N. 108th St. Omaha, NE 68164 will be held Saturday October 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.

Ann was born on December 9, 1945, to Devona Saner. She passed away on September 5, 2026. She was preceded in death by her mother, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ann spent her early childhood in Shenandoah, Iowa then the family permanently settled in Omaha, which became Ann's lifelong home. Many memories were created at the big white house on 40th & Grand Ave.

After graduating from high school at Notre Dame Academy in 1964, Ann began working full-time. In 1990, Ann earned a B.S.B.A. from the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO). Ann had a long and varied career, working for Storz Brewing, Sears, IBM, and Oriental Trading Company before retiring in late 2013.

Throughout her life, Ann enjoyed cooking, baking, and testing out new recipes. She also loved reading, listening to music, watching movies, and sharing a good joke. Ann was incredibly proud of her Irish heritage and cherished visiting Ireland and Europe along with taking several road trips with Devona.

Ann was a central part of her large extended family. Especially to the younger women in the family, she was a strong role model who showed them how to be independent and self-sufficient. She was always available to listen and provide moral support in addition to celebrating birthdays, holidays, and milestones with family.

Ann is missed by all who knew her. She will always be remembered for her intelligence, generosity, no-nonsense opinions, and her sharp sense of humor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are recommended to the American Cancer Society.
