Angelo (Rick) R. John
July 24, 19448 - November 19, 2022
Angelo (Rick) John, age 74, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 19, 2022 after his battle with cancer.

Angelo was proceeded in death by his father, James (Jimmy) John and grandmother, Antonette John.  He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela  (Wagner) John; daughters: Laurie John & Jamie (Paulo) John-Flores; his sisters, Antonette “Toni” (Robert) McCall (Portland, OR) & Karen John (Bath, United Kingdom); father-in-law Wes Anderson; in-laws, Michael (Joan) Wagner, Linda Bunger & Donna Malina.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Kyle, Michael, Charles, Joseph, Bradon, Jayden, Gianna & Xavi; nieces and nephew, Adam Marini, Kristin Lines & Stacy Logreco and many great-grandchildren.

Angelo was born in Burlington, Washington to James & Phyllis. He was youngest of 3 siblings, with sisters that cared for him as a young boy.   In his early 20’s, he moved to Omaha and soon after joined the Omaha Police Dept.  After 13 years, he went on to become a deputy with the Nemaha County Sheriff Department, which he later became Sheriff.   He served as Sheriff for 2 terms.  His career path took a turn to what he loved to do, fixing things, which led him to join the Nemaha County Hospitals as the maintenance supervisor until he retired in 2016.

There was nothing Angelo could not fix or build.  He taught both of his girls how to work on vehicles, changing the oil or fixing a flat and to never be afraid of a power tool.  He insisted that his girls learn to drive manual transmissions so that they were never stranded.   He loved to cook and taught his girls never to be afraid of spices, however, his wife never caught on.

His family was his everything as he was everything to his family and they are forever better for the love he gave to his family.
