Angela Kennedy was born to the union of Marcus and Charlotte Kennedy on October 2, 1963, in Omaha, Nebraska. She departed this life on October 25, 2023, at Methodist Hospital. She was preceded in death by both parents, Marcus, and Charlotte Kennedy.
Angela's formal education occurred in Omaha at Holy Name School, Duchesne Academy, and she completed her education at the College of St. Mary with a degree in Business Administration. Throughout her years in school, Angela excelled in the Arts. During her years at Duchesne Academy, theater was one of her passions, especially backstage, building props and helping to run the show. Some of her favorite types of theater were watching musicals.
Quilting and cross stitch were two other art forms that allowed Angela to explore her passion for the arts and kept her busy. [Angela’s Perspective—an understanding she cultivated of herself at an early age]. The advantage of engaging in both art forms is that they developed and built patience and a sense of joy and laughter, which she believed is an “Elixir of Life”.
Angela used her skills in Business Administration at several companies, with most of her years at Clarkson Hospital, Conagra Foods/Gavilon, and Nebraska Furniture Mart. Here, co-workers enjoyed her happy or jubilant spirit, upbeat attitude and most importantly, her great sense of responsibility. She was with Nebraska Furniture Mart as a part-time employee the longest.
Additionally, she enjoyed reading mysteries novels by JD Robb, watched and read every Harry Potter series, and laughed all night at the sitcom Mom.
Angela leaves to cherish her aunt Andrea Steward of Omaha, sisters Paulette and Wanda Kennedy of Omaha; Paula Mends-Cole (Alex) Waldorf, MD, Marcia LaCroix (Davey) Lincoln, NE; and brothers Wayne Kennedy (Rev. Gabrielle) St. Louis, MO, and Charles Walker of Omaha, NE nephews Donatello, Jahbari, Kalen and Hoskins and a host of relatives and friends.
