Adrian H. Streit

5/29/1936 - 2/6/2021 Omaha - Adrian was a devoted father, grandfather and friend who loved gatherings with his family.  He was a hard worker and took pride in helping his kids gain a good work ethic.  He grew up on a farm in Kansas and loved to hunt since his childhood.  He had many exciting hunting stories to tell and some trophies on his wall.  The love of his life, Jo Hessig and him enjoyed caring for their dog, Annie and looking after the stray cats. They enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers and other favorite teams. Adrian served in the US Navy and had a long career as a meat cutter and built a business of owning and managing single family rental homes. Preceded in death by son Kenneth, daughter Rachel Streit, parents Henry and Marie Streit, siblings Gwendolyn, Victor, Duane, Gene. Survived by significant other Emma Jo Hessig, children Brenda Banks, Deborah Ackerman, Rhonda Armstrong, Mark Streit, Jody Sundell, grandchildren Frank, Angel, Jared, Jessie, Jake, Jackie, great grandchildren Talyn, Greyson, Isabella, Joe, siblings Joe Streit, Jim Streit, sister-in-law Eleanor, family and friends. Visitation Wednesday 5:00 - 7:00 PM with Rosary at 6:30 PM at Roeder Mortuary. Funeral Service Thursday 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 114th & Fort Street Omaha, Nebraska.
